The project

The Stage 1 Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Project (the B2N Project) covers the duplication of
a section of railway track between Beerburrum and north of Beerwah on the North Coast Line within
the Sunshine Coast region in South East Queensland. The Project aims to provide improved reliability
and track capacity for both freight and passenger services and future proof the transport network to
service the growing demand within the Sunshine Coast region.

Our role in the project

Rail Force was engaged during the development phase of the Project to support the finalisation of
technical specifications and contractual documentation specific to the rail environment. Drawing on
this experience, Rail Force provided project management services during the Dual Early Contractor
Involvement (DECI) stage of the Project, including guidance during contractor’s interactives, feedback
on contractor’s proposals and consolidation of all Rail evaluation assessments to support the Project
panel recommendation.
